Narrative:

Unit #1, the Green Ford Explorer, was eastbound on Interstate 64 at milepost 12.4, when it went out of control and struck the center concrete median barrier. Unit #1 overturned, and ejected the unbuckled driver. The Explorer came to rest on it's side, and on top of the driver that was lying on the roadway. The driver was transported to SLU Hospital in critical condition. There were no passengers inside the Explorer at the time of the crash. The far left and center lanes of Eastbound Interstate 64 at that location were closed for approximately 55 minutes because of the crash. Alcohol is a contributing factor in this crash, and there were no other vehicles involved in the crash. The driver was a 39 year old man from St. Louis, who's family has not yet been notified of the crash.
