Narrative: Glen A. Marquard (age 52 from Venedy, IL) was driving his Harley Davidson Motorcyle south on Illinois Route 160/177 south of New Memphis, approximately 900 feet south of 4th Street, when he struck and killed a deer. Marquard was thrown off his motorcycle, and he and the motorcycle slid down the roadway, and came to rest in the middle of the road (Crash 11-11-01452). A short time later, a Cadillac driven by Andrew J. Surmeier (age 72 from Venedy, IL) was traveling southbound on Illinois Route 160/177, and ran over Marquard who was lying unresponsive in the middle of southbound lane of Route 160/177 (Crash 11-11-01453). Marquard was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner.
