Narrative:
Unit #1 was traveling south on IL-159, approximately 1/2 mile north of LL Road, in front of 5045 State Route 159. Driver of unit #1 states that he had just crested a hill to see a group of subjects fighting in the middle of the road. Two pedestrian, still in the roadway, were struck with the front passenger side of unit #1. One subject was pronounced dead on scene and the other one was transported to the hospital with injuries. The driver of Unit #1 was released from custody, pending charges from Monroe County States Attorney's Office.
