Narrative:
Unit #1 was traveling westbound on U.S. Route 50, 700 feet west of Quarry Rd. Unit #2 was traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 50, 700 feet west of Quarry Rd. Unit #1 crossed into the eastbound lanes for unknown reasons, colliding head-on with Unit #2. The driver of Unit #1 was pronounced dead on scene by St. Clair County Coroner Crump. Toxicology results are pending for driver of Unit 1. The driver of Unit #2 was transported by Medstar to SLU Hospital.
