Weather Still Causing Traffic Issues


COLLINSVILLE, IL – The Illinois State Police (ISP), District 11, is still dealing with numerous crashes and vehicles sliding off the road.  North and south routes are witnessing the most traffic issues but we are still receiving calls of crashes on east and west routes.

Currently there have been three crashes involving injuries:
- IL-255 at New Poag Rd. (crash has been cleared)
- I-55 at I-270 (Troy IL area) single vehicle roll-over crash.  Still on scene.
- Freeburg New Douglas Rd. (CR47) at Kraft Rd (West of Freeburg). Multiple car injury crash.  Still on scene.

Please remind motorists to slow down and allow plenty of distance between them and surrounding vehicles.
