COLLINSVILLE, IL - Illinois State Police, District 11, is currently working a crash at I-255 northbound at milepost 16.8 (near the I-255 and IL Rt 15). One vehicle, no injuries, and no lane blockage.

We are still getting a few calls for assistance throughout the Metro-east area. Please remember to drive slow and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.

Slush being thrown up by semitrucks is quickly freezing on windshields. Make sure you have plenty of windshield fluid in your vehicle before you leave the house.

Here is what the Troops on the road are reporting:
"I-255 in Southern St. Clair and Monroe county is getting glazed over with ice."
"I-270 is good and IL Rt. 255 north of I-270 is also good."
"East/West Illinois State routes in Clinton county are clear/clearing the north/south routes are still covered."
"IL Rt. 15 has slush and ice but IDOT plows are currently working on it."
"I-70 and 270 are in good shape. Ice here and there but IDOT is doing a good job"
"Watch the exit ramps as they are mostly covered."
"I-64 is not bad but the shoulders are still covered."
"JB Bridge is slick."
"I-55 near I-270 has one really good lane and one usable."
