Narrative:
A pedestrian was walking IL 157 southbound on the northbound side, when he was struck by unit 1.  The pedestrian was drug approximately 960 feet to the north on IL 157 by unit 1.  Unit 1 fled the scene.  The pedestrian came to rest in the south bound lane of IL 157 when he was struck by unit 2.  Unit 2 was traveling south on IL 157 when it struck the pedestrian with the snow plow while plowing the snow covered roadway.  
 
 A witness reported seeing unit 1 traveling at a high rate of speed and then lost control.  The witness further stated that the pedestrian tried to avoid being struck by jumping out of the way of unit 1.
 
 No citations were issued nor arrests made.  The investigation is on-going.
 
 Anyone with information on a large Ford SUV (silver or gray) missing a "Ford" grill emblem and damage to a dark colored, possibly black, bug deflector should contact the Illinois State Police.
