Narrative:
Unit 1 was northbound on IL 4 approximately 1/2 mile north ot Klenke Rd.
Unit 2 was southbound. Unit 1 crossed the centerline and struck unit 2 head
on. Unit 1 left the roadway to the right, travelled down and embankment and
caught fire. Unit 2 left the roadway to the right and also travelled down
an embankment.
Driver 1 was transported to Anderson Hospital. Driver 2 was prnounced dead
at the scene. Tpr Gebke responded to the scene for reconstruction.
Driver 1 is suspected to be DUI. Zone 6 responded to investigate and pursue
reckless homicide charges.
