Narrative:
Unit 2 was traveling I-55 Northbound at milepost 4.8 in the middle lane.
Unit 1 was traveling I-55 northbound at milepost 4.8 in the middle lane.
Unit 1 rear ended the trailer of unit 2. Unit 2 continued northbound and
did not stop. Unit 1 sustained heavy front end damage and driver refused
medical. The driver of Unit 1 stated she looked down while driving and
when the driver looked up a semi was stopped in the roadway and she struck
the rear of the trailer. The driver of unit 1 was arrested for Driving
Under the Influence and issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to
avoid an accident.
