Narrative: Unit 1 was traveling north on Illinois Route 255
approaching Wagon Wheel Road. Unit 1 went off of the road to the left for
unknown reasons into the grass median. Unit 1 continued northbound in the
center grassy median and went down and under Illinois 255, across Wagon
Wheel Road, and struck the concrete bridge base on the north side of the
bridge that allows Illinois Route 255 to cross over Wagon Wheel Road. The
driver of Unit 1, Ronald E. Little was seriously injured, and was
transported to St. Louis Hospital via ARCH Helicopter. Little was cited
for Improper Lane Usage and Illegal Transportation Of Alcohol. No other
vehicles were involved in this crash. No one else was involved or injured
from this crash.
